Announcing the 2018 Government Innovation Awards: Call for Nominations Now Open

MCLEAN, VA, Jun 14, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 1105 Public Sector Media Group is pleased to introduce the Government Innovation Awards and announce that nominations for 2018 are now being accepted.

The 2018 Government Innovation Awards, presented by GCN, FCW, Washington Technology and Defense Systems, recognize government IT's disruptors, innovators and emerging leaders who have transformed government agencies through new technologies and innovative ways of weaving IT into critical missions.

"Public-sector tech is far cooler than the government often gets credit for," GCN Editor-in-Chief Troy K. Schneider said. "With the Government Innovation Awards, we get to give credit where credit is due and recognize those who are really reinventing government."

These awards cover three different categories:

  • Public Sector Innovations:  Transformative tech projects being deployed or tested in government at the federal, state or local level.
