RAD Announces ‘Bailey’s 5’ Campaign in Honor of Shooting Victims

Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions, Inc., and its subsidiary Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD) recently announced that it will extend its “Bailey’s Gift” initiative to include the “Bailey’s 5” campaign, according to a news release. Through “Bailey’s 5,” RAD plans to donate five ROSS AI-based security solutions to K–12 schools throughout the U.S. The news release reports that the program was named after Bailey Holt, a victim of a 2018 school shooting at Marshall County High School in Kentucky.

ROSS (RAD Operations Systems Software) allows legacy IP security cameras that have already been deployed to connect with the RAD ecosystem, the release reports. The software grants non-RAD cameras the same AI analytic capabilities as RAD solutions, including the ability to detect firearms, humans, vehicles, perimeter breaches, and loitering, among others.

“I am so moved that RAD is extending ‘Bailey’s Gift’ to now include ‘Bailey’s 5,’” said Secret Holt, mother of Bailey. “Their technology is truly amazing and we are so blessed to be a part of RAD’s mission. There is no valid reason that schools should have any reluctance or hesitation to add the ROSS technology to their existing security systems. I encourage all schools to apply for consideration.”

The “Bailey’s Gift” campaign launched in July 2022 and saw eleven K–12 school applicants receive ROSA units featuring firearm technology. Schools in Illinois, Michigan, Florida, Kentucky, New Mexico and California have received and put the units into service, while the rest are in the final stages of the deployment process, the news release reports.

“We know that countless schools could take advantage of RAD’s ROSS software solution by adding it to their already-deployed security networks,” said Doug Clemons, RAD’s Chief Marketing Officer. “This is our way to give back to the community and make a real impact on school safety.”
